Small Space Fest
---Submissions Closed---
The Project:
Small Space Fest is a fully immersive, site-specific experience which will embrace all art forms- visual, performing, and the undefinable! The event will be a full building takeover of Emergency Arts in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, with the “theme” of Big Art in small spaces. The Emergency Arts building is a two floor former medical facility with weird corridors, closets and stairwells. This festival will squeeze into, fill up and transform these architectural spaces until it is busting at the seams with visual and performing arts. You, the artist, will install your art or yourself (!) into the hallways, stairwells, broom closets, tiny creepy rooms, and every other obscure corner of this historic building. Together, participating artists will create an unforgettable collaborative experience which blurs the boundaries between art forms and unifies as a cohesive, electrifying whole.

This call is two-part process. Each artist accepted into the festival will be designated a specific area in the building, and then challenged to create work that fills and activates the space within the assigned parameters. We encourage you to use the given restrictions to let your imagination go wild! Press yourself to create something unexpected and thrilling, challenge yourself to be inventive with materials and let’s create a world of wonder together! What can we do with small spaces, but big energy and big ideas?
